Winter in the Marche region has a special charm: the whole territory gathers around traditions, small villages become nativity scenes and enliven with Christmas markets; the cities of art light up, shining with culture, wise gastronomic traditions and New Year's Eve celebrations; the mountain waits for the snow and is ready to host adults and children in the ski slopes, snow parks and warm shelters.

Everything is close in the Marche region and the visit of a city and its museums will allow you to programme a tour in the villages or in the mountains. Christmas has its peak in many popular nativity scenes attracting visitors year after year.

The most majestic is the one in Genga, in the Frasassi Gorge, where the characters wear costumes taken from the famous painting "Adoration of the Magi" by Gentile da Fabriano.
