Climbing up  the valley of Cesano and left behind the hills of Pergola and Sassoferrato, you can reach the foot of Mount Catria, whose Eastern side contains a valley surrounded by large beech trees around which open pastures and fields surrounding the beautiful complex of  Camaldolese Abbey of the Holy Cross.
