A food and wine itinerary between the provinces of Ancona and Macerata to discover one of the most precious treasures of the Marche: wine. The position of the territory, the favorable yet varied microclimate between coast, hills and mountains has favored the production of different types of wine, each unique and with specific characteristics based on the production area, such as to earn many labels the DOC designation.

1 DAY JESI
Arrival in the afternoon on your own transport in Jesi. Welcome drink and check-in in the 3* Hotel, at 1,5 km from city center. Time at disposal. Dinner and overnight in the hotel
2 DAY JESI / STAFFOLO / CUPRAMONTANA / JESI
Breakfast at hotel. Morning guided sightseeing of JESI: the Civic Art Gallery with works by Lorenzo Lotto and a painting by Rubens, placed in Palazzo Pianetti; the Museum of Federico II Stupor Mundi, with a monumental multimedia collection of testimonies, paintings, miniatures, books, parchments, maps. Transfer to STAFFOLO and free lunch. Afternoon sightseeing of Staffolo: the medieval village with the surrounding walls, the Albornoz Tower, the Churches but above all the Wine and Farming Art Museum, which preserves the traditional tools that were used to produce wines and the Enoteca, close to the Museum, with a wide selection of wines to taste. Transfer to CUPRAMONTANA, considered the chief city of Verdicchio; guided visit and tasting in a winery. Return to Jesi, dinner and overnight.
3 DAY JESI / APIRO / MATELICA / SERRAPETRONA / CINGOLI / JESI
Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards MATELICA, production site of other kind of Verdicchio DOC, with a stop along the way in the small village of APIRO. Arrival in Matelica, sightseeing and tasting of the precious wine in one of the producing companies. Transfer to SERRAPETRONA and stop for free lunch on Lake Caccamo. Afternoon visit to the village and the vineyards where is produced another excellent local wine: the Vernaccia, a DOCG sparkling wine produced in a very limited area. Return to Jesi with a stop in CINGOLI and sightseeing of the town, with the castle walls of medieval origin, the noble palaces with Renaissance portals, the numerous churches and palaces of civil architecture. 4 DAY JESI / MONTECAROTTO / MORRO D’ALBA / SENIGALLIA / JESI
Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure towards MONTECAROTTO, one of the most important fortifications in Vallesina, as well as the seat of numerous Verdicchio producers. Transfer to MORRO D’ALBA, where it will be possible to taste another typical wine of the Castelli jesini, the Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, DOC wine since 1985 but known since ancient times. At the end transfer to SENIGALLIA, free lunch. In the afternoon sightseeing of the city and free time for walks along the coast known as the velvet beach. Return to Jesi, dinner and overnight.
