SELF-DRIVE TOUR "UP AND DOWN THE VILLAGES FROM ADRIATIC SEA TO SIBILLINI MOUNTAINS"
Tour of the Marche in Self Drive 6 days / 5 nights - Central / southern itinerary of the Marche
Day 1: Arrival to the Town of Grottammare at the agreed place at 3 pm. Meeting with the guide and beginning of the visit to the ancient medieval village. Then visit of Offida, one of "the most beautiful villages in Italy", a beautiful jewel that boasts traditions, history and renowned local wines. At the end, tasting at the
showroom of a famous local winery. Departure for Ascoli Piceno, accommodation in a hotel in the historic center and overnight stay.
2nd day: Breakfast. Half day guided tour of Ascoli Piceno, an enchanting city, rich in history, architecture and traditions. Its magnificent and unique
historical center in travertine. Free afternoon for individual visits to city museums. Typical aperitif in the evening. Overnight in hotel.
3rd day: Breakfast. At 8.00 am meeting with the naturalistic guide and departure for a peaceful excursion to the Sibillini Mountains. Lunch in Castelluccio. Then to Fiastra. Free walk along the shores of the lake with very clear waters and intense colors. At the end, accommodation in a cozy farmhouse near the lake. Overnight.
4th day: Breakfast. Full day dedicated to a guided tour of these unique places, such as the Church of Sant'Eustacchio which houses a magnificent polyptych by Giovanni Boccati in Belforte del Chienti, the large arcaded square, with an unusual spindle shape in S. Severino Marche and the famous 13th century Basilica of San Nicola with canvases by Guercino and by Giuseppe Ghezzi in Tolentino. During the excursion, visit to a winery producing the
renowned Vernaccia di Serrapetrona DOCG wine. At the end, accommodation in a hotel near Corridonia. Overnight
5th day: Breakfast. At 9.00 am meeting with the guide for a half-day visit to the Abbey of Chiaravalle of Fiastra and the Archaeological Park of Urbisaglia. In the afternoon free visit to Montappone "capital" of the straw hat from the century. XIV and possibility to visit the relative museum. Before returning to the hotel, tasting stop in Loro Piceno of the famous cooked wine. Return to the hotel and overnight.
6: Macerata Breakfast at the hotel. At 10 am meeting with the guide for a half day visit to the city of Macerata and its famous Sferisterio. At the end, return to the places of origin.
