Spring in Le Marche – colourful recreation

Spring brings back the feeling of life that we value very much, as if the state of mind is also regenerating. When this is combined with a wonderful experience of renewing nature, man feels like (almost) in paradise. You do not have to travel to the south of Italy, in other regions of Italy spectacular flower dreams can be found in a landscape that still offers what you cannot find anymore: unspoiled nature without mass tourism, a variety of cultural treasures and an honest one hospitality. Make yourself known with a treasure chest in central Italy: Le Marche.

1st day: Benvenuti nelle Marche
Arrival in the afternoon in Ancona Falconara Airport (Other possibilities self-drive by train or car). Upon arrival by plane pick up by the tour guide and drive to the accommodation at the agriturismo near Ortezzano. After checking in at the agriturismo amidst lush countryside and an aperitif, you will have the opportunity to relax and / or make a first exploration until it is called Buon appetito with a delicious menu.

2nd day: flower magic
In the morning, take a trip in the Aso Valley, considered the orchard of the Marche. Now in March, all fruit trees are in bloom, forming a sea of ​​white and pink amidst lush green and yellow. To fully enjoy this fantastic spectacle, you will take a ride through and over the Asotal. With several stops in particularly attractive places, the photographers get their money's worth. Along the ridge you reach Offida with its idyllic cityscape. There you will enjoy a delicious little local lunch. It is not only the place of the lace makers, it is also the place of the Rosso Piceno Superiore, the excellent red wine and the white wine, the Pecorino, a real wine specialty. It would be a shame to withhold the enjoyment of the great wines of the Marche, so a wine tasting in wonderfully equipped tasting rooms of one of the renowned wineries of the Piceno will complete the visit to Offida. The return journey goes via Grottammare, a feast for the eyes with its ancient center, which is located above the sea. In the evening, enjoy dinner at Vecchio Gelso.

3rd day: The reign of the magic Sibilla and her treasures
In the morning the ride takes you to the high mountains, the Sibillini. Here you can experience nature and panoramas that exceed every expectation, an Eldorado for those who want to capture their impressions with the camera.
Our destination is the Piano Grande, an unusual landscape with the guarantee of unforgettable memories. There you will experience some panoramas for which the Marche are so famous. A fine lunch awaits you here in the realm of the Sibilla. Return in the late afternoon to the Vecchio Gelso, where we would like to surprise you with some small peculiarities. Culinary then at the end of the day.

4th day: The temptations of the Marche
Not only nature renews itself, also we humans have the desire to equip ourselves with something new at this time of year. This morning we will drive down to the sea. In San Benedetto del Tronto, where you can stroll along the palm tree promenade, considered to be the longest in Europe,
one of the biggest markets of the Marche takes place twice a week. Discover everything your heart desires, from model dresses to a wooden spoon. It is also great to go for a walk on the beach, just let the wind blow over your nose and somehow feel that everything looks like "freshly washed". If you are by the sea, of course, a fine fish menu should not be missing. Enjoy the treasures of the Adriatic Sea. On the return you will be able to admire the magnificent views of the southern Marche (called the Piceno) from Ripatransone, as well as the narrowest street in Italy. In the late afternoon you return to the agriturismo to enjoy a culinary highlight to conclude your "taster trip" to the Marche.

5th day: Arrivederci!
