The Loreto's walks involve not a single path, but a variety of routes and places along the valley crossed by the Chienti and the Potenza rivers ; it includes the Sibillini Mountains area and Fabriano, but also far destinations in Europe, like Prague, Paris, Wolsigham and Tersat.  Actually many pilgrims from different parts of Europe came to Loreto to visit and worship the Holy House of the Virgin Mary.
There are 5 stop overs along the journey from Assisi to Loreto; five of them are in the Marches : Colfiorito, Muccia, Belforte del Chienti, Tolentino, Macerata, Montecassiano, Montelupone and Loreto.
The stop overs of the journey have been defined according to the Cultural District "The Loreto's routes", in order to recover the practice of pilgrimages to the Holy House of Loreto and to promote art treasures spread all around the area.
