Torricchio Mountain Nature Reserve

 

Torricchio Mountain Nature Reserve covers an area of 317 hectares of protected land ; it was established in 1977 and is managed by the University of Camerino. The towns included in the reserve are Monte Cavallo and Pieve Torina. The area is full of oaks, flowering ashes and beeches; it is the perfect habitat for different types of animals, such as the badger, the wild cat , the squirrel and the wolf.
