Land of Theatres and Music

Marche and opera, an inseparable pair. Marche boasts some of the composers and musicians that have made music and Italian opera in the world. In this land  Giovan Battista Draghi called Pergolesi, Gaspare Luigi Pacifico Spontini and Giocchino Rossini were born. All of them, thanks to their great will and strength and their sensitivity were able to establish themselves internationally. The lyric tradition in the Marche region is alive thanks to these Festivals: Rossini Opera Festival, Pergolesi Spontini Festival, Sferisterio Opera Festival, together with the lyric seasons of some of the most important  theatres in the region.
