Marche are top ranking in the list of the “greenest”Italian regions, thanks to six cities which particularly stand out due to the special care they take for environmental issues, territory, and an agriculture mindful of natural resources. These six cities have been awarded the “Spighe Verdi 2018”(2018 Green Spikes), a prize Fee Italia and Confagricoltura (respectively: the Italian section of Foundation for Environmental Education and the Confederation of Italian Farmers) deliver every year to communal administrations strongly engaged in sustainable policies aiming at protecting and promoting natural patrimonies.
