The woods are a symbol of a territory which is a powerful daily presence in the lives of people from the Marche region and among its products we find certainly the Truffle. Zones like the inland areas of Pesaro-Urbino and part of the hinterlands of Ascoli Piceno, are where truffles typically grow. The most prized truffle is the Tartufo Bianco (White Truffle). It can be found at Sant’ Angelo in Vado and Acqualagna, an excellent territory for Truffleharvesting, or hunting. There are special techniques to cultivate truffles, truffle generating plants are produced and used to replant in the woods and for organized cultivation. To a lesser extent the white is also present in other truffle zones of the region where, instead,  black truffle it's  prevailing.
