Parks and nature reserves make up 10% of the regional area: the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains and the four regional parks: Monte Conero on the sea; Sasso Simone and Simoncello; Monte San Bartolo on the sea; and Gola della Rossa and Frasassi are certified according to the principles of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
