On the occasion of Corpus Domini, the streets of the historic centre of the medieval village of Piobbico, located at the foot of the hill on which stands the imposing Medieval-Renaissance Brancaleoni castle, are covered with flowers and greenery to shape a long carpet. Before the procession of the Corpus Domini, in the afternoon, takes place an event called "La Fiorita"; a religious parade with which are transported floral artifacts depicting religious figures. Year after year the designs differ although are repeated the yellow color of the broom, the red of the roses, the green of the "savory" and of a myriad of other flowers.
