Marotta is a seaside resort, whose territory is included in the area of Fano, Mondolfo and San Costanzo. There are both sandy and gravel beaches, equipped with modern beach resorts. The beach is characterized by the recovery of a pier, which has become one of Marotta's main tourist attractions. There is a cycle path along the seafront: it runs from "The Vele" area to Fano. There are two nice festivals in summertime: the "Treat", a fishery trawling practiced in shallow and sandy sea bottom, which takes place between the end of July and 1 August, and the Festival of Garagoi, taking place in April : during the festival you can taste the delicious shellfish cooked by local fishermen. Mondolfo belongs to the association of The most beautiful villages in Italy: it boasts the monumental Church of St. Agostino with the cloister, the Romanesque church of San Gervasio and the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Caves, surrounded by pine trees and included in an ecological and cultural itinerary called the "Valley of Tufi." Along the fortified walls you can admire the "Martiniano Garden", a magnificient Italian garden.
