The “Selve di Gradara” Centre for Environmental Education (CEA) was created in 2018 with the aim of promoting the naturalistic patrimony of Gradara, where elements of the agricultural tradition are housed which bear a fundamental importance for the safeguard of biodiversity. From the forest which mantles the eastern slopes to the fences and the tree lines delimiting the fields, where wheat is cultivated along with grapes and olive groves, Gradara hosts an important and wonderful agricultural mosaic which is being improved by means of paths, walkways and initiatives open to all, because the health of Nature is the health of us all! The CEA proposes didactic activities to schools and visitors, workshops and easy excursions, accessible to all, in order to promote the attention to the main environmental issues and the scientific diffusion of issues concerning sustainability, ecology, nature and sustainable mobility.
