This theatre is the only example of a theatrical construction entirely in wood in the province of Macerata and one of the few surviving in Italy. This little baroque “jewel” therefore constitutes an exceptional testimony of theatrical architecture of the eighteenth century, being perfectly preserved in the wooden structure and in its decoration. It is the result of the extraordinary talent of a craftsman and decorator of Penna San Giovanni, Antonio Liozzi.
