Il Sacrificio di Melchisedec, 1545- 1550
Melchisedech, re di Gerusalemme e sacerdote del Vecchio Testamento, è dietro ad un altare che ?divide il gruppo degli officianti dall'esercito di Abramo. L'altare è coperto da una tovaglia bianca che lascia scoperte due zampe elefantine in funzione di sostegno. L'elefante potrebbe essere stato utilizzato per alludere al battesimo, considerata la credenza tardoclassica secondo cui i piccoli venivano partoriti in acqua. I quattro grandi pani ed un'anfora sopra l'altare sono probabilmente una prefigurazione del rito eucaristico.
