Montefiore dell'Aso - Infiorata of Montefiore dell'Aso

The Infiorata (Flower Festival) of Montefiore dell'Aso is held every year in June. It winds along a distance of approximately 2,000 meters with an immense floral carpet articulated in various frameworks to cover the entire route of the solemn procession, creating a magic moment where the sacred, faith, art and nature meet pleasantly drawing paintings in the ground as in the heart. From the beginning this floral display stood out not only for the length of the path, but also for the search for alternative natural materials it is made of: leaves and shredded flower petals, flower petals dried and ground, but also colored with natural essences such as seeds, wood chips, sawdust etc. Every year new essences are also experienced  for the best results and to provide a unique show: "To Our Lord, passing over these carpets, we offer the beauty and color of the works, the ingenuity, the work and sacrifices of many volunteers for months involved in this event.
