Ancona - “Palace of the Seniors”

It was the historical Headquarters of the city magistrates; its history brings us back to its first construction in 425 A.D. The present building, designed by Margaritone d’Arezzo, was built in 1270 and hosts the city council. Having been built on a very steep place, its architectural structure is rather peculiar, as it leans on the slope and raises with six floors on the side facing the port, and just three floors on the opposite side; the former lies on a white Conero stone pedestal, the rest was built with bricks. It is the ideal location to say an exceptional “I do”.
