Museum of the Laboratory of Physics of the University of Urbino

 
The Museum of the Laboratory of Physics is part of the Laboratory of Phisics, a scientific department of the University of Urbino. it si situated in the historical center of the city, at the "Collegio dei Nobili", a palace that was the site of a famous Piarist College where "Public Academies of Experimental Physics" were held. The  Laboratory of Physics was officially inaugurated in 1832 with the establishment of the Serpieri School, which contributed to widening the collection with important scientific instruments.
Today the museum which includes one of the most important Italy's University collections, boasts more than six hundred pieces dating back to the second half of the eighteenth century and the first half of the of the twentieth century.
