Palazzo dei Priori (Prior Palace)

 
The sixteenth-century Palazzo dei Priori (Prior Palace), which is located in the Renaissance-style Piazza del Popolo (People’s Square), once known as Piazza Grande (Great Square), houses the Municipal Art Gallery (with remarkable paintings from Venetial and Marche schools, including Rubens’s Nativity) and the Globe Room (which is named after the globe painted by the cartographer Moroncelli di Fabriano in 1713. The building also hosts the archeological section “From Villanovian to Picentes”.
