Thanks to the constant commitment of the "Pro Loco" and the Local Associations, the town of Castelraimondo has rediscovered the ancient and evocative Infiorata (Flower Festival), traditional feast for the "Corpus Domini".
The documents of the parish archives of San Biagio and of the Archbishop’s curia of Camerino attest since 1500 a great devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, through the citation of numerous brotherhoods which over the centuries have been appointed to honor, with rites and processions, the Body and Blood of Christ.
This event, which takes place every year in June, is the result of the excited and meticulous work of many collaborators that, since the first edition on 13th June 1993, carpet the historic part of Corso Italia (the town’s main street) with unique floral compositions on any subject.
The success of the first edition fueled the Citizenship of such a proudness as to lay the foundations for future editions and those little seeds, those simple gestures produced, over the years, many fruits.
The Masters Infioratori of Castelraimondo also participate with dozens of other external Infiorate, from Liguria to Sicily, and this has allowed the "Pro Loco" and the Municipality of Castelraimondo to get many awards.
After centuries, hundreds of people, organizations, companies and families still contribute, quietly and generously, to pass on this form of art and expression of collective faith.
The Municipality adheres to "Infioritalia", the National Association of the Artistic Infiorate, and to the Association "Città dell'Infiorata" (City of the Infiorata).
