Fermo is one of the most alluring of the hilltowns of the southern Marche; it features also a coastline of 5 km south of Porto San Giorgio (Marina Palmense) and a coastline of 4 km to the north (Lido di Fermo, Casabianca and Lido San Tommaso).
Both Marina Palmense and Lido di Fermo are quiet seaside resorts, surrounded by verdant and luxuriant hills, with the highest concentration of camping of southern Marche. A cycle path is also available there.
Altidona is located on a hill overlooking the sea. Marina di Altidona boasts both a sandy and gravel beach,  several tourist facilities and is surrounded by pine forests and palm trees. There are also 2 bike paths: one along the coastline (about 3 km) and the other one along the river Aso. Marina di Campofilone has both a sandy and gravel beach, that runs for 1.5 km.
