Treia - Archaeological Civic museum

The Civic Archaeological Museum displays several fragments of sculptures and inscriptions from different eras and civilizations: from the Piceni to the Romans. It also bears evidence of the close link between this town and the East, in particular Egypt, with two Egyptian sculptures representing a female deity and a head of the god Serapis discovered in the area of Santuario del SS. Crocifisso. There are also five fragments of Egyptian sculptures and the Serapaeum, a site consecrated to the cult of Serapis. The exhibits of Roman statuary date from the period of Augustus to that of Hadrian and Antonius.
