Founded in 1997 by the Municipal Administration, the picture gallery originates with a donation made by Prof. Attilio Moroni, works of art collector and Chancellor of the University of Macerata for many years. The collection is kept on the first floor of the Swabian Castle.
The entrance, where you can admire theTrionfo di David (XVII century) of Salvator Rosa,is dedicated to Biagio Biagetti (1877-1948), a painter from Porto Recanati, of whom there are eight creations between works and preliminary works.
