The journey in the hills near Recanati is very relaxing and it flanks the Potenza river from Porto Recanati to the little hamlet of San Firmano near Montelupone. Going along the cycling path you’ll get, through a dirt track, to the hamlet Chiarino near Recanati. Continuing on towards Montelupone, worth visiting is the abbey of San Firmano, a jewel of Romanesque art where the central steep staircase, unique in its genre, is preserved.
