The C.E.A. (Center for Environmental Education) “Terrazza sul Burano”lodge is placed on the path of the ancient Roman Via Flaminia, which from Rome led to Rimini and the Gallic territory, at a distance of just two kilometers from Cagli, the main town in the Catria and Nerone mountain area, in the Pesaro-Urbino province, at the center of the homonymous Karstic mountain system, characterized by caverns and calcareous canyons cut through by powerful rivers. The lodge is placed in a typically mountain environment, just above a waterfall of the Burano river, into the suggestive homonymous Canyon. Not far from the lodge there are pools dug by the river, called the Marmites of Giants, and thick woods covering the surrounding mountains. Guests of Terrazza sul Burano can spend days out into the open, on the wild lawns and bright uplands, typical of the easily accessible surrounding mountains, where such wild animals living there as wolves, wild cats, martens and eagles can be seen. The structure is equipped with a heating system and is therefore open all the year round, and fits those who wish to spend a holiday in the wild. 70 beds are placed in single or multiple bedrooms and apartments. The kitchen is fully equipped for both individual and organized use; the dining room may host up to one hundred people, and a relax hall is also available. The lodge also boasts solarium terraces, one of which juts out to the river. Reaching there is quite easy, whether by car o bus; a parking and ample space for maneuver are available. From the lodge, placed into the little Foci hamlet, excursions on foot can begin, on the paths of the Furlo Reservation, of the Natural Park of the Tecchie Wood, of the Gola Rossa and Frasassi Regional Park, or on the trails of both the Catria Nerone and Cesano and Alto and Medio Metauro Mountain Communities.
