Jesi - Diocesan Museum

 

The Diocesan Museum of Jesi was founded in 1966 in order to collect, preserve and enhance the vestiges of religious art coming from the territory around the town. Housed in some rooms of Palazzo Ripanti Nuovo, in the square Federico II, the museum is a the meeting point between the beautiful and the sacred, the century-old traditions of Christian communities of the Vallesina valley and the community living at present in this territory.
At present it preserves a wide cultural and artistic heritage belonged to the churches of the Diocese, dating between the 4th and the 19th centuries.
