The Museum is located in the Fish Market complex and is part of the "Sea Museums Center" which already includes the 'Anphorae Museum and the "Capriotti Fish Museum".It also includes the "Sea Art Gallery" housed in the Piacentini Palace (Old City) and it is about to be completed with the archaeological section of the Antiquarium.
It was realised with the help of the Marche Region and Carisap Foundation, the Museum offers the visitors a rich collection of objects related to the sea civilization, thanks to the decisive contribution of many citizens who have donated various items concerning sea life which had been jealously fostered in their places for decades.
