From the beaches of the Conero Riviera to the hills of infinity, from walled cities to wild coves, from cultural itineraries to walks in the protected nature of the Conero Park, so many attractions in a single destination for a holiday of discovery and emotions

The section of coastline that stretches from the port of Ancona to the port of Numana is called the Conero Riviera, named after the promontory of the same name that plunges down to the sea, full of coves and small beaches made up of rocks and pebbles. The territory is protected by the Conero Regional Park and includes, as well as the seaside resorts of Ancona, Portonovo, Sirolo, and Numana, all with Blue Flag beaches, places of naturalist interest for engaging in sports along with museums and religious complexes.

Start your tour by visiting Ancona, the capital of the Marche. Founded by the Syracusans, this city has always had its existence linked to the harbour, dominated by the Cathedral of San Ciriaco. Discover the most ancient and charming part of the city with a tour of the historic centre: Piazza della Repubblica and the Theatre of the Muses, the Arch of Trajan and the Clementine Arch, the Church of Santa Maria della Piazza, the Mole Vanvitelliana and the Loggia dei Mercanti. Plebiscite Square is flanked by a sixteenth century tower, the Government Palace and the Church of St. Domenico. From Passetto one can admire the beautiful sight of Mount Conero. The pearl of the coast is the bay of Portonovo: this beach has an emerald-green sea and features ancient treasures, such as the Napoleonic Fort and the Clementine Tower. After a stop on Mount Conero the next stop is Sirolo, a delightful resort overlooking the sea, and soon after comes Numana, where visits can be made to the harbour and the State Antiquarium as well as to Marcelli, a modern seaside resort.

Leaving the coast, we travel inland to Camerano, full of interesting historical places such as the caves, a vast underground complex. On the top of a nearby hill stands Loreto, the largest Marian Sanctuary in Italy. Then we reach Castelfidardo, the capital of the piano accordion, an instrument to which a Museum is dedicated.

Shortly after we arrive in Osimo, which boasts thirteen Roman statues dating from imperial times preserved in the Town Hall. Visits can also be made to nearby Polverigi and Offagna, home to the Museum of Ancient Weapons.
